Why Employers don't contact me?

We understand how frustrating it can be not to hear back after applying for a job. However, it’s important to remember that most employers receive a large number of applications and follow standard processes when reviewing them. Below are some of the most common reasons employers may not respond.
- Incomplete or generic applications:
If your resume or excerpt lacks specific, relevant information about your experience, skills, or the type of work you’re seeking, employers may overlook your application. Phrases like "Hi, I am looking for a job" are seen as unprofessional and non-specific. - Unrealistic pay expectations:
Asking for a pay rate that does not align with your qualifications or experience can discourage employers from considering your application. - Improper communication methods:
Sending a message instead of submitting a proper application, or giving instructions to employers on how or when to contact you, is seen as unprofessional and may even result in your account being flagged or banned. - Impatience or pressure:
Contacting employers for updates, asking to be invited for an interview, or repeatedly following up can come across as pushy. Employers appreciate patience and professionalism during the hiring process. - Misunderstanding the hiring timeline:
Most employers advertise jobs up to 30 days in advance and usually wait until the end of the listing period before shortlisting candidates. While some state "Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted," many do not—but this is typically the standard practice. Cleaning jobs also receive a high volume of applications and may be filled quickly.
